Class/Workshop
This 13 hours in 3~days journey is for writers, mystics, dreamers, storytellers, myth lovers, counselors, those who are intrigued by the mysteries of the unconscious and of course Tarot enthusiasts!
A deep intro into Tarot reading/storytelling as a way of connecting with the inner world of intuition, symbols and artistic manifestations. We will be exploring Tarot ideas by Carl Yung, Maureen Murdock (psychology) and Joseph Campbell (Comparative Mythology) in relation to the modern view of our Story-shaped reality according to quantum physics. As well as applications on how to hold a friendly space for oneself and for others which is an essential part of the Tarot translating/ reading process.
Learning to intuitively read the cards vs. reading from a manual book can be very enjoyable and it's even more fulfilling when we step into that glorious and wonderful state of presence and start reading the cards from the heart for each other and hopefully later on for friends, family, strangers and most of all for "yourself"! As Tarot reading can be a gentle yet powerful way of re-centering and checking-in to the breath, the body and our emotions, bringing perspective, clarity and a wise mirror/companion into our daily lives and the lives of the ones we love.
About the facilitator:
───
My name is Zeinab Kamal, I've been reading and experimenting with the Tarot for over 20 years (the 1st picture -in the discussion section- was taken 10 years ago in a festival in Berlin, where I improvised a 3 layers - circular space for Tarot reading and created a ritual that goes with it.). I have held many Tarot related workshops in different cities in Germany and Egypt, and have been consulted for a Netflix production TV series "Paranormal" as a Tarot reader for its Tarot scenes.
Currently designing a Tarot deck اوراق تاروت حلم ولّا علم Dream or Reality Tarot, inspired by Egyptian folklore designs and literature, you can check some of the cards here on the page:

I have also co-created the "Tarot for Social Transformation" deck with Jay Cousins engaging more than 150 artists from around the world in the process, started in 2014, till present. It is an on going, ever changing deck..

I have a degree in Management Technology but my ultimate passion always lies in the arts, mysticism and the unconscious mind and that is what I'm pursuing now through higher education in psychology as well as short programs in reputable universities (eg. Existential Wellbeing Counseling) by KU Leuven, Belgium and Harvard University combined with the spiritual knowledge I have unraveled since the start of my quest in metaphysics and the mysteries of the inner world.
I am also a storyteller with a deep passion for re-writing folk stories and original writing in the style of Egyptian folk tales, with 10 books already published in the market for children and looking forward to publishing more.
While currently writing a non fiction book, about Our Mother Ogress أمنا الغولة as a wild divine feminine archetype, which I am more and more fascinated by, through my research in Egyptian folk mythology and many myths around the world. This amazing archetype is also depicted as a card in my Tarot deck corresponding to the High Priestess in the classical Tarot, who is essentially a symbol for the unconscious, individually and collectively, keeper of its mysteries and hidden nonverbal messages, she is the heart of the Tarot with which we communicate.
