A full-day walk through the droob (main neighbourhood alleys) of Historic Cairo with Qahrawya, starting at Darb El Labana, often called the Egyptian Montmartre for the artists it inspired, from Hassan Fathy to Ragheb Ayyad.
Explore alleys, historic sites and art clusters with collaborator Athar Lina, including landmarks printed on the Egyptian pound, plus the films that captured Cairo across the eras. Includes visits to Bayt Yakan and Beit Toloun, an Arabic calligraphy demo workshop by El Qalam, and a home-cooked community lunch.
The tour is in English if there are English speakers in the group, otherwise in Arabic.
Tickets: 2,650 EGP early bird (until 25 Oct), 2,950 EGP regular (until 28 Oct), covering the guide, entrance tickets, calligraphy workshop and lunch. Register: https://forms.gle/2qF6kPFAX2NGgA1D9
