Description
Egyptologist Dr. Salima Ikram gives a special Halloween lecture at the American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE), “Sacred Creatures, Beloved Pets: Animals in Ancient Egypt”, in collaboration with The American University in Cairo Press.
The talk explores how animals shaped ancient Egyptian religion, culture and daily life. Come in your favourite Halloween costume: after the lecture, children can enjoy trick-or-treating and Halloween games. AUC Press will have books for sale, followed by a book signing.
Wednesday 28 October, 6:00 PM at the ARCE Cairo office. No registration required.
